Several years ago I subscribed to the OzarksWatch Magazine created and published by Missouri State University (located in Springfield). I have found this publication to be interesting and informative about the heritage of the Ozark region.

Â

It is published quarterly and distributed by subscription only. You may subscribe, and also order back issues, as well as various anthologies they have put together. This is a wonderful resource for us Ozarkers, as well as anyone interested in the regional characteristics that create the tapestry of America. The magazine can be found here, along with ordering information: OzarksWatch Magazine – MSU

If you live in the Springfield and surrounding viewing area, there is also a television program on the local PBS affiliate (KOZK -Ozarks Public Television) called Ozarks VideoWatch, which is created by the very same people at MSU. It is a half-hour program that always well worth watching.
